We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Landscape Team Leader. You will be working for a well-established, growing company and a team with a genuine spirit of cooperation, dedication and shared goals.

The successful candidate will oversee a small team to ensure each job is completed on time and within budget; provide daily objectives and monitor productivity for new hires/seasoned workers; and communicate staff performance including recognition and opportunities for improvement to assist the business and staff with reaching goals.

• Coordinating and leading site activities.
• Supervise and coordinate staff personnel and sub-contractors.
• Monitor all site work tasks against specifications to ensure quality and accuracy of work performed by BaseUp staff and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve key issues while on site and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Plan and execute all your remedial work.
• Liaise with Area Manager with regards to scheduling jobs.
• Liaise with clients, designers, engineers & project managers.
• Report all site activities, including material invoice costs, staff hours start and finish times.
• Identify and record any possible variation to the contract, ensuring the Construction Manager is promptly notified.
• Carryout individual site quality audits as and when required.
• Perform any other tasks as may be reasonably requested by BaseUp.

• Experienced in general landscaping tasks like fencing, lawn prep and planting.
• Self-starter able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong ability to work to deadlines.
• Robust Health & Safety practices.
• Great communication.
• Ability to liaise with our valued clients.
• Ability to run a small team onsite.
• Able to manage 1-3 projects during busy periods.
• Attention to detail & sound technique in transferring information from a plan to the physical site.
• Hold a current full NZ Driver Licence.
• Have a current work visa and living in New Zealand.
